Recycling Options for Students at Michigan State University
PACK UP, PITCH IN - MOVE OUT 2003...be sure to follow the Pack Up Pitch In guidelines and look for donation and recycling stations for your unwanted items (including athletic shoes). ORWM is proud to be a partner with University Housing (external site) and the Surplus Store (external site) for 2003. Make the trash dumpster your last option!
The Office of Recycling and Waste Management also provides an on-going mixed paper recycling program for residents as well as a corrugated cardboard recycling service for residence hall kitchens. And we are planning to expand to provide a comprehensive recycling service for residence halls in the future. |

In cooperation with Custodial Services, the Office of Recycling and Waste Management is proud to offer newspaper recycling services for serveral buildings on campus. These are part of an initiative called, "Clean Classrooms" that provides students with convenient options to recycle their newspapers after class.
If you live off campus, and are looking for options to recycle, get in touch with your local community. Many communities in the Greater Lansing Area have comprehensive recycling programs available. If you are having trouble finding recycling options, please contact us. We'll do our best to help you find a workable solution.
